Product Manager - CRO - Contract
We are looking for a data-driven Product Manager for Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) to join our team. You will play a key role in improving the performance of our digital experience, helping us grow revenue by increasing conversion across our core sign up journeys.
Changing the world of pet food for good
We’re Tails.com, a dog food subscription company with a big difference. We create truly tailored food for each and every dog we serve. We start by asking people a few simple questions about their dog. Then we use that information to create their dog’s unique Tails.com recipe – so their dog gets exactly the nutrition they need, in the taste they love, delivered to their door every month. It’s clever stuff.
We’ve got bold plans. Having created an entirely new category in pet food, we’re scaling fast and backed by Purina, one of the world’s largest pet food companies. You’ll join a bunch of smart people working towards the same goals – and a bunch of smart-ish dogs, all working on their own thing.
Together, we’ll change the world of pet food for good.
Build our brand
We’re building a brand, fast. We set ambitious goals. We challenge and support each other in equal measure. At the pace we’re moving, we prefer to test ideas and learn quickly rather than spend months building a business case. That means we celebrate when things go right, and we learn when things go wrong.
Sound like a team you want to join? Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
The role
As the Product Manager for CRO your role is to create a compelling strategy to raise conversion across our digital channel. You’ll be responsible for ideating, working with design and executing tests using Optimizely. You’ll pair a sharp eye for user experience with analytical rigour to understand what works, what doesn’t, and why—ultimately owning and delivering measurable growth.
You will also be required to oversee the implementation of our SEO improvement plan, working with engineering on the priorities from our SEO audit and working with the marketing team to measure success
What you will do:
Lead and deliver CRO initiatives across the site to drive improvements in conversion and customer value.
Design, execute and run tests in Optimizely—defining hypotheses, setting success metrics, and managing test pipelines.
Collaborate with design teams to develop test variants and ensure hypotheses are implemented as great user experiences.
Analyse test results and performance metrics, turning insights into next steps and communicating findings across the business.
Identify and prioritise opportunities for conversion improvement, informed by quantitative and qualitative insights.
Use analytics tools to dig into funnel performance, behavioural insights, and growth trends.
Define and own KPIs and revenue impact for your area—linking experiments and changes directly to commercial outcomes.
The skills you’ll bring:
Proven experience in product management CRO roles
Deep understanding of A/B testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with testing platforms like Optimizely (or similar tools) so you are able to set up the experiments required
Strong analytical skills—comfortable interpreting test results, analysing user behaviour, and drawing commercial insights.
Confidence to take an approach based on quick turn around experiments and put those tests live and reporting on the uplift of those metrics
Ability to collaborate with designers, turning hypotheses into thoughtful user experiences.
Clear communicator who can distil complexity and share results with stakeholders
Customer-centric, commercially aware, and passionate about delivering measurable impact.
