Junior Data Analyst
We’re looking for a Junior Data Analyst to take ownership of pipelines supporting our operations, finance and customer experience teams. You’ll be applying foundational data skills in ensuring a high level of data quality and availability, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and improvements and completing ad-hoc analyses within these domains. You’ll partner with stakeholders across Tails.com, embedding yourself in team processes to understand deeply how these activities align with the overall company performance and leveraging and developing strong communication skills in translating between business problems and data driven analysis.
Changing the world of pet food for good
We’re Tails.com, a dog food subscription company with a big difference. We create truly tailored food for each and every dog we serve. We start by asking people a few simple questions about their dog. Then we use that information to create their dog’s unique Tails.com recipe – so their dog gets exactly the nutrition they need, in the taste they love, delivered to their door every month. It’s clever stuff.
We’ve got bold plans. Having created an entirely new category in pet food, we’re now scaling fast – backed by Purina, one of the world’s largest pet food companies. You’ll join a bunch of smart people working towards the same goals – and a bunch of smart-ish dogs, all working on their own thing.
Together, we’ll change the world of pet food for good.
Headline for your team
The data team at Tails.com sits within the Tech Function at Tails.com, and partners across the whole business. Our team covers the entire spectrum of data-related tasks, from collecting and processing data to synthesising impactful, actionable insights and conducting statistically rigorous experiments. We play a vital role in helping individuals at Tails.com make informed decisions, driving the continued success and growth of our business.
Build our brand
We’re building an international brand, fast. We set ambitious goals. We challenge and support each other in equal measure. At the pace we’re moving, we prefer to test ideas and learn quickly rather than spend months building a business case. That means we celebrate when things go right, and we learn when things go wrong.
Sound like a team you want to join? Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

Support in month-end reporting and reconciliation, working closely between the finance and operations teams to build a comprehensive and robust understanding of positioning
Build a deep understanding of processes with the aim of both converting ad-hoc month-end analyses into self serve reporting and improving robustness of data quality
Customer Support
Provide timely metrics to monitor performance of the CX function at different levels of granularity
Own and develop metrics to understand the success and impact of our CX activities
