Facilities Project Engineer

Job description

We turned dog food upside-down.

But we didn’t stop there.

Every dog is unique, every blend is unique, every action has a reaction

We’re tails.com – experts in keeping dogs happy and healthy. We do that by creating the perfect tails.com recipe for each and every dog, asking owners a few simple questions – and then delivering straight to the door. It’s new and disruptive. Our Factory in Heathrow is at the heart of the business. Join, and you’ll be part of a business that’s not just changing the world of pet food – but innovating a facility through the application of technology and bespoke design.

As our Facility Project Engineer you will get full exposure to our game-changing mix of technology, equipment and brilliant people. You will lead and be involved in projects ranging from facility, infrastructure, automation to improvement works. Your goal will be to make the factory more efficient, safe and capable.

How you will do that is by designing solutions for facilities and infrastructure, planning resources for equipment installations and negotiating with suppliers to get the best value for our business. You will also design and coordinate the construction of our extended offices in order to keep up with the needs of our growing business.

You will be working as part of a highly skilled and driven team with the aim of delivering solutions on-time and in-budget, to help our manufacturing process move forward.  A major part of your role is Project Management so you need to be confident in the planning and organisation of the resources needed to get the job done.

Our Maintenance Engineer reports to you and you will also lead contractors or fitters that are delivering your projects. You will be leading project meetings and coordinate all resources and necessary people needed to deliver your objectives, so confident leadership and team motivation and direction will be something you need to be comfortable with. You will report to our Factory Manager.

About you

You are a motivated individual that can work effectively to tight deadlines and manage many multi-faceted projects safely, efficiently and to specification. To achieve this, you will need a high level of attention to detail and be organised, and logical in your ways of thinking and working.  You probably come from a manufacturing or logistics environment  where you have designed and managed projects.

At tails.com you will work cross-functionally so strong communications skills are essential. If you are familiar with industrial health and safety policies it will be a great plus.

We offer a competitive salary, share options as standard, breakfast, great coffee and the dog-friendly office help too.
